HFS News & Special Events
Why? How do we know? What evidence supports that? These are a few of the most frequently asked questions at Harford Friends School. Critical thinking is considered the most complex of all intellectual functions and essential for creative problem solving. Creative problem solving is perhaps the most essential skill an individual can acquire to help them throughout life.
From a problem-solving approach to developing mathematical and algebraic thinking skills, to designing science experiments, to producing student written plays, to creating art, to role playing, to team building exercises with GVOLC, and many field trip excursions, we present age appropriate problem solving challenges to all our students. We actively and purposely incorporate problem solving opportunities into every course and every aspect of our program.
