Day of Giving

HFS News & Special Events

Encouraging community service helps students learn stewardship for a broader community while creating a sense of belonging and purpose.  Students learn that little things make a big difference and that many hands make light work.  Each winter HFS provides students opportunities to participate in meaningful service within and beyond our community to inspire our students to be stewards and leaders of a better world.

Past service projects include:  singing at Perry Point V.A. Hospital, sorting canned goods for the Mason Dixon Community Service Food Pantry, crafting simple gifts for the food pantry clients, helping to shelve donated books for our library, as well as many more projects.

Students experience the joy of giving of themselves to benefit the greater good of the community, both ours and beyond.
