Commitment to Financial Aid

HFS News & Special Events

Harford Friends School offers both financial aid to qualified families and a limited number of merit-based scholarships for qualifying students. Harford Friends School remains committed to making a Friends education as accessible as possible to qualified families. We are committed to serving a diverse socio-economic as well as cultural community.

Families must apply for financial aid through School and Student Service for Financial Aid in Princeton, NJ (https://sss.ets.org/pfsHome.do). That service informs the HFS Financial Aid Committee of the percentage of the HFS tuition for which you would qualify to receive financial aid. HFS designates more than 10% of its tuition income to support its financial aid budget.

HFS offers three scholarships that range from a few hundred dollars to a one-third tuition. Each scholarship has different qualifications. The HFS Scholarship Committee awards these scholarships to students only upon acceptance into the HFS program. These scholarships are not guaranteed to be awarded each year.
