Thank you for your interest in Harford Friends School.  The best way to learn more about us is by starting the admissions process.  Come and see us during one of our Open Houses. The schedule is:

Or, schedule a private tour by calling 410-452-5507.  Nothing compares to looking in on our classes and meeting our community.  That subjective and emotional impression is critical for you and your student’s decision process.

Admissions process:

Step 1

The first step to applying is to call 410-452-5507 and schedule a Shadow Day for your student, an admissions assessment, and an interview with an Admissions Representative.  Group assessments for prospective kindergarten students are scheduled on:

Saturday, December 4 (9-11AM)
Saturday, January 22 (9-11AM)

All other students and those kindergarten students unable to attend one of these dates should call for scheduling options.

Step 2

Application forms are available and can be picked up during your interview or downloaded and printed from your computer.  Return a completed application form with the non-refundable $40 application fee to:

Submit Teacher Recommendation Form(s) to your child’s current teacher(s).  They must be completed and returned directly to Harford Friends School.  If your child is currently home-schooled, please have the form(s) filled out by an adult who works with your child in a group setting.

For K – Grade 1:

Sign and submit the Information Release Form to your child’s current school.  The requested records should be forwarded directly to Harford Friends School.

Follow up with your child’s school and teacher(s) to ensure that all forms are submitted to Harford Friends School by February 15.

Step 3

If applying for financial aid, complete forms online at www.nais.org/financialaid/sss and submit via web.   HFS can provide vouchers if needed to cover the cost of the SSFA application fee.

Applications should be completed by February 15^th.  After step 2 is complete, the applicant’s file will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee. Decisions will be mailed on or about March 1^st.  Applications will be accepted and processed on a rolling basis providing space is available.
