Excerpt from the “Animal Crackers” welcome letter…
Throughout the week, your child will be engaged in many hands-on experiences as they are exposed to a variety of domesticated animals. We will gain knowledge and first hand experience from the owners and caretakers of the animals that come to visit. Then we will apply the knowledge gained as we create crafts, read literature, and complete our journals. At the beginning of the week, you will receive an official schedule of the animals that will visit (visits to include: cat, dog, rabbit, calf, chicken, goat, sheep, llama/alpaca, horse, pig)
On Thursday August 14
th, we will visit Broom Bloom’s Dairy Farm at 6:00pm to meet with the Dallam family, learn about their dairy facility, and have the opportunity to purchase and enjoy some delicious ice cream. This will be a voluntary experience and is open to the children in the program along with friends and family.
